Idlewild is an independent designer boutique located in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. We offer a considered selection of women’s and men’s clothing, shoes, accessories, and objects from independent and international designers, with a focus on thoughtful design, quality materials, and pieces meant to be worn and lived in.
Idlewild was founded in 2015 and is co-owned by Julie Clark, Jessica Murray, and Tessa Clark — a team with deep roots in design, retail, and fashion. Over the past decade, the store has become a trusted destination for those seeking clothing and objects that feel both artful and wearable.
Our approach to designer shopping is intentionally slow and considered. Rather than chasing trends, we focus on well-made pieces with longevity — items that become part of a wardrobe over time.

In 2025, Idlewild expanded its presence in Over-the-Rhine with the opening of FORM, a natural evolution of our original vision. Located directly adjacent to the boutique, FORM offers a deeper exploration of the avant-garde, featuring a broader collection of sculptural footwear, experimental silhouettes, and artful objects. The two spaces are connected by a historic interior archway, allowing for a seamless journey between timeless wardrobe essentials and more conceptual, boundary-pushing design.
