These Lustrous Wool Pants by Issey Miyake are made from gabardine fabric and can also be worn like salopettes . Resin is applied to a lustrous material woven from high-quality high-twist wool and polyester, creating suppleness and a firm feel. The fabric may be a wool blend, but combining it with polyester makes it wrinkle-resistant, and these pants can also be hand-washed, making them easy to care for.

Made in Japan.

Issey Miyake

Legendary Japanese designer Issey Miyake debuted his eponymous womenswear label in 1971, charting a half century of work in fashion design. An industry pioneer, Miyake’s clothing blends traditional Japanese techniques with forward-thinking technology. The brand is famous for their pleating technique which led to the debut of Pleats Please in 1993. Much of Miyake’s work is informed by an architectural approach to design, seen in sculptural silhouettes and clothing with purpose. Vibrant colors, advanced pattern making, and a devotion to curiosity are hallmarks of this fashion house now led by Satoshi Kondo.
