The Square Bag (Leather) by Issey Miyake is a mini handbag designed with a single square piece of leather covering the main storage section. Covering it with leather keeps the contents from appearing heavy, giving the light impression of holding a single piece of cloth. Since the leather is not fixed in place, its soft silhouette moves freely and changes naturally. The handle has a rounded shape, finished for comfortable use.  Features draping over the top and sides, with a logo embossed at the face, a press-stud fastening at the sides, and a zip closure for added security.

Please note: due to the nature of the material, the texture varies slightly from piece to piece.

Made in Japan.

Issey Miyake

Legendary Japanese designer Issey Miyake debuted his eponymous womenswear label in 1971, charting a half century of work in fashion design. An industry pioneer, Miyake’s clothing blends traditional Japanese techniques with forward-thinking technology. The brand is famous for their pleating technique which led to the debut of Pleats Please in 1993. Much of Miyake’s work is informed by an architectural approach to design, seen in sculptural silhouettes and clothing with purpose. Vibrant colors, advanced pattern making, and a devotion to curiosity are hallmarks of this fashion house now led by Satoshi Kondo.
