The Tailored Pleats 1 Jacket by Homme Plissé Issey Miyake is a raglan jacket that features a simple design. It is characterized by its portability with the unique quick-drying property of polyester material, and is designed to emphasize the gently sloping shoulder line. The diagonal pleats are arranged in contrast to the vertical pleats applied to the body, creating a visual effect that evokes the refraction of light. There are pockets on both sides, a double zipper and button-snap closure.

Homme Plissé pieces are lightweight, easy to layer, anti-static, and never wrinkle.

Each Homme Plissé garment fits standard sizes 0-18. Select your size based on length:

Homme Plissé garments have a unique size scale that is based on the garment length: Size 1 is the shortest length and size 5 is the longest length. Due to the garment pleating technique which provides great stretch and comfort, there is only a minor change in the garment width between sizes and you should select your size based on length only. On average, the difference in length between sizes is approximately 1-2" in length and slight variations in arm hole openings. We often have short customers that opt for lengths 4 and 5, and vice versa.

All clothing should be handled as carefully as possible to increase longevity, so please refer to the garments instructions if there are no specific care instructions listed below.

DO NOT: dry clean, steam, iron, bleach, tumble dry, or use fabric softener.

Machine wash cold, gentle cycle, gentle detergent. Dry flat in the shade. Do not line dry. Roll in the direction of the pleat to store. Do not hang.

Homme Plissé Issey Miyake

First launched in the ISSEY MIYAKE line in 1988, this pleats line grew until it finally became a brand of its own with an independent Spring/Summer 1994 collection. Issey Miyake developed a patented technique called “Finished Pleating” for the foundation of this brand. Unlike most pleated products, where the fabric is first pleated and then cut and sewn, a PLEATS PLEASE garment is first cut and sewn from the original fabric and pleated after the garment is sewn together. PLEATS PLEASE reflects Issey Miyake's fundamental concept that "design is not for philosophy, but for life," and continues to evolve today.
