The Twisted Drape Top by Issey Miyake is a boxy-fit top with elbow-length, puffed sleeves that feature a gathered, draped detail.  The front hem is slightly cropped while the back is longer with a curved hem with slightly swingy shape.

TWISTED DRAPE features a sculptural twisted design and a distinctive material texture. Inspired by this season’s theme of ‘organic and inorganic’, it combines natural and synthetic fibres. This meticulously crafted fabric is created by blending four materials, then post-dyed using a twill structure and separate dyeing techniques to reveal a subtle colour variation between the front and back. Smooth yet dry to the touch, it offers a soft, refined finish.

Made in Japan.

Issey Miyake

Legendary Japanese designer Issey Miyake debuted his eponymous womenswear label in 1971, charting a half century of work in fashion design. An industry pioneer, Miyake’s clothing blends traditional Japanese techniques with forward-thinking technology. The brand is famous for their pleating technique which led to the debut of Pleats Please in 1993. Much of Miyake’s work is informed by an architectural approach to design, seen in sculptural silhouettes and clothing with purpose. Vibrant colors, advanced pattern making, and a devotion to curiosity are hallmarks of this fashion house now led by Satoshi Kondo.
