Reset, reconnect, and Recharge: Sweetgum Manor

Reset, reconnect, and Recharge: Sweetgum Manor

Posted by Tessa Clark on

Idlewild and Sweetgum teamed up for our Fall/Winter editorial. Founder, Abby Allen, modeled some of our newest arrivals in her beautiful home, Sweetgum Manor

Just minutes from most Cincinnati neighborhoods yet far enough away to feel like another world, Sweetgum Manor welcomes you into a space of thoughtful design and natural rhythm. From the tranquil yoga studio to open lawns and a pool, from the rhythm of sound healing to the energy of a creative production—our grounds are built for both stillness and transformation.

At Sweetgum Manor and through the Sweetgum Manor Foundation, we offer: Signature wellness experiences such as digital-detox retreats, immersive sound-healing bowls, guided breathwork, and all-level yoga, tennis, or fitness classes tailored to your group’s desires.

A calendar of enriching gatherings—forest bathing walks with mandala creation, culinary pop-ups, style salons, creative workshops, music and art-laden evenings—each anchored in connection, mindfulness and community.

Flexible event and production possibilities: thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor spaces, two full kitchens, a light-filled yoga room, a pool and tennis court, AV-ready meeting and breakout rooms.

Seasonal, farm-to-table meals crafted by local chefs—designed to nourish, delight, and deepen your experience of place and people.

A mission-driven anchor: the Sweetgum Manor Foundation extends access to restorative practices for nonprofits, youth and creative communities—affirming our belief that connection, rest and nature are the roots of resilience and creativity.

Whether you’re gathering for clarity, celebration, collaboration, creativity or simply to breathe and belong, Sweetgum Manor invites you home.

Abby Allen, driven by her belief in the transformative power of beauty, nature, and community, is reimagining how we experience home and communal spaces. With the hope that SWTGM will support people in creating a more compassionate future, she draws on her two decades in the wellness world, including yoga teacher trainings, study with teachers across lineages, including a monastic Tibetan Buddhist curriculum, and over 300 hours in solitary retreat.

A New York City native, Abby also runs Neon Butterfly, a branding agency serving clients like Disney and Procter & Gamble, leveraging her 20+ years of experience leading global brands across the country.
